BIO

Ms. Trupti Faldessai is an accomplished Assistant Professor in Marathi and currently serves as the In-charge of the Department of Marathi at CES’s Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Margao, Goa. She is also the Coordinator of the Certificate Course in Portuguese Language offered by the institution.  She is pursuing her doctoral research in Marathi at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. She completed her Master’s degree in Marathi from the same university in 2018 and earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem, in 2016. She qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2018.

With five years of undergraduate teaching experience, Ms. Faldessai has developed strong expertise in teaching Modern and Ancient Marathi Literature, Literary Theory, Grammar, and Linguistics. Her research interests are centered on Goan journalism during the Portuguese period and its evolution in contemporary times, reflecting her commitment to region-specific literary and historical studies.

She has actively contributed to academic discourse by presenting research papers at national and international seminars and conferences. She has also participated in workshops and faculty development programmes aimed at enhancing teaching methodologies and research skills. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, she is actively involved in academic administration, curriculum development, and student mentoring. She has played a significant role in organizing and participating in literary and cultural activities at the institutional level.

Ms. Faldessai is proficient in the use of digital tools and online teaching platforms, and effectively integrates technology into her pedagogy. She strongly believes in student-centric teaching and is dedicated to the holistic and all-round development of learners. Her keen interest in cultural activities further enriches her academic and co-curricular engagement.
