Ms. Sonali P. Gaonkar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Goa. Born and brought up in Goa, she completed her undergraduate studies at the Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem, and her higher secondary education at Damodar Higher Secondary School of Science, Comba, Margao. She holds a Master’s degree in Botany from Goa University and has qualified the MH-SET examination in Life Sciences. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the BITS Pilani, Goa Campus. Ms. Gaonkar possesses teaching experience at the undergraduate level and is actively engaged in academic and professional development initiatives. Her academic interests include plant sciences and bioinformatics, with a strong focus on enhancing student learning through effective teaching–learning practices.
