BIO

My name is Kumaresh V. C. I completed my Graduation (B.Sc – 1991) and Post Graduation (M.Sc – 1993) at a very renowned institute, P.S.G College of Arts and Science (affiliated to Bharathiar University), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. I was the Rank holder at my Graduation as well at Post Graduation level. Completed my second Post Graduation, M.C.A in 1998. I have been working in the college since 1994. I was actively involved in sports activities like Hockey, Futsal and Cricket.

Mrs Shaila Ghanti and Mr. Kumaresh V.C., presented a Research Paper entitled ”Network Processor Intrusion Detection Systems” in a UGC sponsored national level seminar on Emerging trends and developments in embedded systems at the national conference on 13th march 2007 at D.M.C. College, Mapusa, Goa, which was adjudged as the best paper.

Activities Organized:

Intercollegiate IT Event “I-RIX” of Department of Computer Science, Parvatibai Chowgule College, 2011, 2012 & 2015.
2011 – 2013: Course Coordinator for the Honour’s Programme “Computer Hardware Maintenance”.
2011 to 2018: As a member of Disaster Management Committee organized mock drills every semester for the entire college.
2012: Initiated an innovative program under the name “Academic-Industry Interaction Programme (AIIP)”.
2013: Under AIIP organized a visit to various IT companies in Goa, for curriculum development, internship and project.
2013: Coordinated signing of MOU with DLINK India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai to start industry oriented DLINK Academy training program on (DLink Certified Specialist) DCS Switching.
2014: As a faculty incharge, visited Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan for 15 days along with college students as a part of International Exchange Programme.
2014: Organized the “Model out of E-Waste” Competition for the college.
2014: Organized the community outreach program “E-Waste Collection drive - a green earth initiative” in collaboration with Group Ten Plus.
2015: Initiated and Coordinated for signing of MOU with Infiswift Inc., California, U.S.A.
2015: Organized and attended 3 days Industrial visit to Aximsoft (India) Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, for 4 students from MSc IT.
2016: Organized one month Internship programme at Aximsoft (India) Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, for 3 students from MSc IT.
2016: Organized one month internship programme for one student from BSc Chemistry, in Content writing (Technical) conducted by Infiswift Inc., California, USA.
2017: As a faculty incharge, visited Tullinge Zymnasium, Stockholm, Sweden for 15 days along with college students as a part of International Exchange Programme.

Attended a talk on Cyber safety conducted by Mr. Arun James, Center Incharge of cybercrime and wellness, Goa.
Attended a half day program on “Tobacco Free Educational Institutions (ToFEI) Guidelines” organized by District Tobacco Control Cell, South Goa.
Attended a lecture on Policy making in India on 28th March 2024 organized by Goa university in association with the college.

2012: Organized 11 days BOOT CAMP was organized for MSc IT (Part II) and TYBSc students on the topic “PHP – Web Development”, conducted by Mr. Amit Kenny from M/S Sandbox Infotech, Goa
2012: Organized One day state level seminar on “Strategies in Software Release”. The resource person was Mr. Praveen Ranjan Srivastava, Department of Computer Science BITS Pilani, Rajasthan.
2012: Organized two days’ workshop on “IT Project Management” for TYBSc and MSc IT students. The resource person was Mr. Kedar M Phadke, worked as Project Manager/Data Architect, Harvard University, Cambridge.
7th Annual VLSI and Embedded System Symposium in association with VLSI Society of India, Goa chapter, 2013.
2013: In association with VLSI Society of India, Goa chapter, organized one day workshop on “Robotics”.
2013: Organized two days workshop on “Invent-O-Pi”, Design and Development of Raspberry Pi based systems. Mr. Pranav Pai Vernekar and his team from Inventrom Robotics conducted the workshop for the students of the department.
Organized State Level Seminar on “Fundamental Concepts and Principles for creating world-class Software Product” on 12th July 2016. The resource person for the seminar is Mr. SarvaThulasingam, Chief Technical Officer, Infiswift Inc., California, U.S.A.

Attended a workshop on Parallel computing using OpenMP at Chowgule college. The resource person was Dr. Gargi Prabhu, Visiting Assistant Professor, BITS Goa Campus on 22nd Aug 2024 from 1.30 pm onwards
Attended one day workshop on NIRF ranking 2025: Data assimilation, analysis and submission by DIQA, Goa University on 28th November 2024. The resource persons were from Institute of Excellence, Hyderabad.
Attended one day state level workshop on “Process to Progress: Building Progressive HEI’s through SOPs” on 24th March 2025 at Dept of Arts and Culture, Panaji organized by Vidhya Probodhini College of Commerce and education.
Attended the Training programme on “Reservation in Service” conducted by DHE, Goa on 23rd and 24th February 2024.
As a Public Information Officer (PIO), attended one day training programme on ‘Right To Information Act” organized by the Directorate of Higher Education on 27th June 2024 at Multipurpose Hall of Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji. The resource person was Mr. Vivek Velankar from Pune, National trainer on RTI.
Attended in a 3 days training program on School Safety Plan and Auditing, on 7th, 8th and 9th February 2023 at (GIPARD) Goa Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development, Goa.
