BIO

I am Dr. Sobita Kirtani, Asst. Professor in the Department of Psychology. I am a proud alumnus of the then Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science. I obtained my Master’s Degree from the University of Mumbai in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2002. My journey as a teacher in Chowgule College began in 2010. In 2019, I obtained PhD from Karnatak University, Dharwad. I am very passionate about what I do and as such have enjoyed every opportunity presented by the evolving culture here at Chowgule College. I love travelling and exploring human nature across cultures.

Served as a panel expert at the Symposium on “Uncovering the Susegado Self: Understanding of Goan Personality through Psycholexical Lens” at Multidisciplinary National Conference titled “Cultural SYmbiosis: Psycho-social Perspectives and Challenges” on 12th February, 2020 organized by Bombay Psychological Association (BPA) and the Department of Psychology of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa. Dr. Kirtani spoke about “The BFI in Goa: Understanding personality through Etic Approach”.
