Overview
Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), established in November 2017, was conceived to address the growing integration of technology in higher education and the evolving demands on teaching–learning practices. The Centre supports faculty and students in effectively adopting ICT-enabled pedagogies through training, research, innovation, and consultancy. CTL focuses on capacity building, e-content development, assessment strategies, learning analytics, and the use of emerging digital tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement. Partly supported through RUSA funding, the Centre serves as a hub for pedagogical innovation, fostering collaborative, technology-enhanced, and learner-centric academic environments across disciplines.
Objectives
- Educate faculty on how to go about integrating ICT in Higher Education effectively by conducting workshops, seminars and provide them with hands-on experience/training.
- Develop E-content for the various courses offered by the college and other educational institutions.
- Innovate, Implement and Share different ICT tools in teaching like Simulation, Gamification, LMS, Mobile Applications, etc.
- Conduct Research related to use of ICT, Learning Analytics, Mobiles, LMS, etc.
- Provide Consultancy services to schools and other Higher Educational Institutions by providing a roadmap for ICT implementation
- Provide Assessment/evaluation strategies to track student progression to graduation.
