E-Waste Collection Drive

The Department of Computer Science organised an E-Waste Collection Drive under SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production to encourage proper disposal and recycling of electronic waste. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among students and faculty about the environmental impact of e-waste and the importance of sustainable waste management.

During the drive, faculty, staff, and students were encouraged to deposit discarded electrical and electronic equipment such as old computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, mobile phones, chargers, and other related devices at the designated collection point in the Computer Science Department. The drive successfully collected several obsolete devices that will be handed over to authorised recyclers.

Objective:

  1. Raise awareness about responsible e-waste disposal.
  1. Promote eco-friendly digital habits.
  1. Encourage recycling and reusing of electronic items.
  1. Educate students on the environmental hazards of e-waste.
