Developmental Camp at PM Shree Government High School, Gaval–Khol

The Community Outreach Cell organized a two-day comprehensive Developmental Camp (15–16 November 2024) at PM Shree Government High School, Gaval–Khol, adopting a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to community empowerment. The camp addressed the academic, personal, digital, and social development needs of students, teachers, parents, and villagers.

The programme included skill-based and awareness-oriented sessions such as public speaking and personality development, basic programming and computer literacy, Vedic mathematics, art and creative expression, physical fitness, social etiquette, adolescent counselling, and historical awareness. Special sessions on career guidance, financial literacy, digital documentation, and e-library creation were conducted for parents, teachers, and community members.

Over 120 beneficiaries participated in the camp, which enabled college students and faculty to apply academic knowledge in real-life contexts while fostering leadership, empathy, teamwork, and civic responsibility. The initiative strengthened rural–academic linkages and exemplified service-learning as an effective pedagogical and community engagement model.
