Internal Committee for POSH

Overview

The College has constituted the Internal Committee (IC) in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2015. The Committee is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive academic environment for women employees and students. The IC ensures prevention, prohibition, and redressal of sexual harassment through awareness, capacity building, and prompt grievance redressal mechanisms. The institution follows a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment and assures confidentiality and impartiality in handling complaints.

Objectives

  • To prevent incidents of sexual harassment at the workplace and campus
  • To provide a safe and supportive environment for women employees and students
  • To create awareness about gender equality and women’s rights
  • To establish a transparent and confidential grievance redressal mechanism
  • To ensure timely inquiry and action as per UGC regulations

Where and Whom to Lodge a Complaint

If you are a victim of sexual harassment or perceive yourself to be one, you may contact any member of the Internal Committee personally, through telephone, written request, or e-mail.
Alternatively, complaints may be sent to icc@chowgules.ac.in.
The identity of the complainant and details of the complaint will be kept CONFIDENTIAL.
