I am a postgraduate researcher in Marine and Polar Biotechnology with a background in microbial ecology, molecular ecology, synthetic biology, and bioinformatics. I hold an MSc from the University of Tromsø, Norway, where my work focused on extremophile bioprospecting, broad host range synthetic biology, and engineering of marine phycosphere bacteria. I have experience conducting fieldwork in extreme marine and polar environments and onboard research vessels, undertaken metagenomics and genome-resolved microbial community analyses, and developed synthetic biology approaches for microbiome research. I have published open-source protocols and data analysis tools and have a strong interest in extremophile biology, exobiology, omics-driven ecology, and reproducible research practices.
