I am Mayuri Verlekar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology. My academic and research interests include toxicology and genetics. I have worked on research projects focusing on the toxicity of microplastics in mice, with emphasis on their biological effects and natural depuration. I have also done my undergraduate project on avifaunal diversity. I am committed to effective teaching and student mentoring, with a focus on strengthening conceptual understanding and encouraging research-oriented learning in zoological sciences.
