BIO

Ashwini Ashish is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at CES’s Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous). He holds a B.A. in Geography (Honours) with First Division and an M.A. in Geography from the University of Pune with Distinction and ‘O’ Grade. He has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) with an All India Rank of 30.

With over 15 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, his specialization is Geomorphology, with a focus on Coastal and Fluvial Geomorphology. He has attended numerous national and regional conferences and seminars and completed Orientation and Refresher Courses from Goa University and SWAYAM.

He has actively contributed to various college committees, including NSS and Extra-Curricular Activities, and has participated in inter-college events with students, winning trophies and accolades for the institution. He is also deeply involved in coordinating student fieldwork and co-curricular activities, promoting experiential and practical learning.

CSIR–NET (Earth & Atmospheric Sciences) qualified with All India Rank 30; M.A. Geography with First Class, Distinction (Grade ‘O’), University of Pune.
Led and coordinated student teams to Overall Winner positions at major inter-collegiate Geography events (Pan-Geo 2017; Geo-Fest 2018).
Provided academic leadership as Convenor & Coordinator of “Geographize” (2012–present) and Co-Convener of a National Conference on Changing Geographies (2012).
Executed a government-linked research project, conducting field surveys and preparing an Economic Revival Plan for Raia Panchayat under a joint DHE–GIPARD, Goa initiative (May–June 2020), alongside recognized roles as NET/SET Mentor and NSS Programme Officer.

Served as Coordinator for multiple Geography study tours, accompanying undergraduate students on academic excursions: TYBA Geography students to Agra–Delhi–Jaipur–Shimla (15–26 January 2010, 25 students), TYBA Geography students to Delhi–Chandigarh–Shimla (16–26 November 2011, 21 students), and Geography students to Murdeshwar (10–11 January 2012).
Convened and coordinated “Geographize,” an intercollegiate Geography event, organized by the Department of Geography, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science, Margao (2012–2018).
Organized Monsoon treks and academic field trips for Geography students on a regular basis (since 2010).
