The two year Postgraduate Programme in English offers varied courses enriched with classical and contemporary literary courses, as well as skill-based courses. The syllabus has been carefully designed to bridge the gap between education and the industry. The programme has a dynamic learning experience, while exposing the learner to research, teaching, visual literature, creative writing, as well as to film and media. The students have a choice between dissertation and internship in the final semester.

To enrich this wholesome teaching-learning experience, the department incorporates varied methods such as flipped classroom, gallery walks (Comix Day, Mythos Day), and audio-visuals, in addition to interactive and experiential teaching methods. The programme also provides a space for participation and organizing co-curricular activities, through its student-initiative Club Ignite.

PSO-1: Proficiency in English Literature with integration of associated Industry Skills

Provide students with practical expertise in advanced literary studies, language, literary theory, creative writing, media writing, and teaching. This is further enhanced through participation in events, visits and guest talks to provide industry required skills.

Through socio-cultural context by introducing and exploring courses such as, Asian Literature, World Literature, Indian Literature, Aboriginal narratives, Gender studies, and subaltern studies.
