The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), in association with the Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC), introduced the Academic Leadership Programme (ALP)-Batch II for the academic year 2025–2026. This initiative is designed to develop leadership capabilities among senior faculty by focusing on strategic academic leadership, governance, research management, NEP 2020 implementation, and digital transformation in higher education.

The second cohort of the ALP, comprising 30 faculty members from various colleges across Goa, including engineering colleges and Goa University, successfully completed their first training module at the Infosys campus in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, held from 9th to 12th September 2025.

This cohort was led by Prof. Niyan Marchon, programme director, centre of TLET and TIP GSHEC, Directorate of Higher Education. Among the participants were two faculty members from CES Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Margao, Goa: Prof. (Dr.) S.G. Sankhalkar, Principal, and Dr. Rupali Tamuly, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Economics.

The three-day training program included an introduction to Infosys Springboard, a comprehensive digital learning platform aimed at supporting students, faculty, and lifelong learners. Offered free of cost, Springboard provides access to a wide range of educational resources and internship opportunities, emerging as a valuable tool for digital education.

This collaborative effort between the Government of Goa, DHE, GSHEC, and industry partner Infosys represents a significant step toward bridging the gap between academic instruction and the evolving demands of industry.
