Community Outreach Cell
Overview
The Community Outreach Cell (COC) of Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science (Autonomous) serves as a vital link between the institution and society. The Cell is committed to fostering social responsibility, inclusivity, and experiential learning by engaging students and faculty in meaningful outreach initiatives. Through educational, social, environmental, and skill-development activities, the COC enables the application of academic knowledge to real-life contexts. The Cell collaborates with local communities, NGOs, schools, and government bodies to design sustainable programs that promote civic engagement, empathy, and societal transformation while enriching the academic experience of students. The COC is also a part of the central government mission of UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN (UBA)
Objectives
- To promote community engagement as an integral part of academic and co-curricular activities
- To provide students and faculty with opportunities for experiential and service-based learning
- To support marginalized, underprivileged, and differently-abled communities
- To foster values of social responsibility, empathy, and civic consciousness among students
- To build sustainable partnerships with community organizations and institutions
- To integrate outreach activities with interdisciplinary and skill-based learning

Activities Organised
During the academic year 2024–25, the Community Outreach Cell organized and coordinated a wide range of educational, social, environmental, and skill-development initiatives, both on-campus and off-campus, in collaboration with academic departments, student clubs, and community partners.
These activities collectively reflect the institution’s commitment to inclusive outreach, experiential learning, sustainability, and community empowerment, with active involvement of students and faculty across disciplines.
