Student Welfare
Overview
The Students’ Welfare Committee is committed to promoting equity, inclusion, and excellence within the student community. It works towards ensuring that needy and deserving students receive financial assistance through various government and non-government scholarships. The Committee actively supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds by guiding them in identifying suitable scholarships and assisting with the application process. In addition to financial support, the Committee also recognizes and celebrates academic excellence. Meritorious students across all subjects, streams, and years are awarded certificates in appreciation of their outstanding academic performance, thereby fostering a culture of motivation and achievement.
Objectives
- To provide financial support through scholarships, freeships, and aid funds.
- To recognize academic excellence through merit-based awards and prizes.
- To ensure equity by assisting students from disadvantaged and marginalized communities.
- To enhance student retention and success.
- To promote a culture of care and well-being within the college.

Activities Organized
The Students Welfare Committee has traditionally been organizing programs to felicitate students who receive scholarships. Since 2024-2025, the committee has also been involved in the organization of the Annual Day, recognizing the academic excellence of students across all years, disciplines, streams, and programs.

Since 2008, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science has been running a mentoring program for all students aimed at helping students to learn in a more comfortable environment.
