BIO

Dr. Sachin Savio Moraes is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at Parvatibai Chowgule College (Autonomous), Goa, with over 19 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Goa University, with specialization in migration and diaspora studies. His research focuses on international migration, Goan diaspora, caste dynamics, gender, and the socio-cultural transformation of Goan society. He has published extensively in reputed national and international journals and has presented papers at several conferences across India. Dr. Moraes has also served in key academic leadership roles and actively contributes to community-based research, outreach activities, and policy-oriented academic discussions.
