I am Mr Ramu Prabhakar Pagi, with over nine years of teaching experience at the higher secondary and undergraduate levels. I have been serving this institution as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics since December 2018. I hold a Master’s degree in Economics from Goa University, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology from Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, and a Bachelor of Education from Pune University. I have also completed an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications, which has strengthened my ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning. I am currently pursuing a PhD in International Economics at Government College Sanquelim, affiliated with Goa Business School, Goa University. My academic achievements include securing the top position in HSSC (Arts) in Canacona Taluka and the highest marks in Economics at the TYBA level.

WORKSHOPS
- Organised an in-house and state-level student seminar on “India and Sustainable Development Goals” for the postgraduate and undergraduate students of social sciences at Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, Margao, Goa.
- Member of the organising team of the National Interdisciplinary Conference organised by the Department of Sociology and Geography, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, Margao, Goa.
- Conducted a certificate course in Gretl (Free Software for Statistical Package), which was scheduled from 13th September 2019 to 14th October 2019 for all the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Social Science Students, Researchers and faculty of Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, Margao, Goa.
- Appointed as a resource person by DHE for conducting a certificate course in accounting for non-accountants for the non-teaching staff of Parvatibai Chowgule College, which was held from 16th October to 10th November 2019.
- Member of organising team, National level webinar on the occasion of World Population Day, organised by Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, Margao, Goa, along with Sophia’s Girls College, Autonomous, Ajmer
- Completed State Level Short Term Course on ‘Data Analysis and Statistical Techniques using R-software’ from 12th December – 17th December 2019, organised by the Department of Economics, G.V.M’s College of Commerce and Economics, Ponda–Goa, in association with the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Goa, Porvorim, Goa.
- Contributed modules towards the e-content of the project DISHTAVO initiative taken by the Government of Goa under the Directorate of Higher Education.
- Attended (onsite) Capacity Building workshop on leveraging Generative AI for Pedagogical Excellence in Higher Education for the social science cluster on 14th June 2024, organised by the Directorate of Art and Culture, Patto, Panaji-Goa.
- Completed the UGC-sponsored online faculty induction programme organised by UGC, MALVIYA MISSION TEACHER TRAINING CENTRE, University of Mumbai, from 4 to 30 November 2024.
