Professor (Dr.) Sangeeta G. Sankhalkar is a senior academic leader, accomplished plant scientist, and education administrator with over 27 years of experience in teaching, research, and institutional governance. She currently serves as the Principal of CES, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), Margao, and is recognized for her contributions to plant stress physiology, biofertilizers, hydroponics, and sustainable agriculture. A recipient of prestigious DST-SERB BOYSCAST and INSA fellowships, and a post Doc to Botanical research Institute Wuerzberg Germany she has led major funded research projects and published extensively in reputed national and international journals.

  • Recipient of BOYSCAST FELLOWSHIP 2006-07, Sponsored by Department of Science and Technology (DST-SERB), Government of India at the School of Biosciences, University of Exeter, UK, for advanced training in Molecular Biology of biotic and abiotic stresses in plants for 12 months. Worked under the supervision of Prof. Nick Smirnoff.
  • Post Doc Research at Botanical Research Institute I, Wurzburg, Germany from April to June 2000. Worked under the guidance of Prof. U. Heber.
  • Recipient of Indian National Science Academy (INSA), Govt of India visiting Scientist fellowship 2020-2021 to conduct research at University of Hyderabad.
  • Recognized as Professor from 1st Jan 2016 by Department of Higher Education (DHE) Govt of Goa.
  • Recognized as PhD Research guide in Botany by Goa University from Nov, 2014 onward
